It was an unforgettable moment for Jaaved Omar, who was left speechless after being selected as one of the winners of the SuperSpar Win a Car competition, where 50 fiery red Hyundai Grand i10 sedans were up for grabs across the nation.
The handover of the Hyundai Grand i10 sedan was witnessed by scores of shoppers at the Starwood SuperSpar in Phoenix on Friday, 31 May. To enter the competition, customers had to buy any participating products and swipe their new rewards card.
The competition ran from 23 April to 2 June, speaking to the Phoenix Tabloid, Omar, said: “At first I thought I was being scammed after receiving a call that I had just won the car as it was something I never believed would come true.”
The 33-year-old from Unit 8, said he and his family are regular shoppers at Starwood Superstar and enter these competitions whenever they are available. “I did not expect to win. It was shocking, to say the least, as my wife and I were going to buy a car at the end of the month, and when we received the call we were shocked. Words cannot describe how I feel,” said Omar.
His wife, Nerisha Omar, said that winning the car meant a lot to the family. She said: “This has been so exciting. It truly was a rush of emotions to see the car in front of us and know that we would be driving it home. To think we were going to buy a car and got blessed by winning a brand new car. I still cannot get over this. We are just so grateful.”
