Non-profit organisation, the Hillcrest  Aids Centre Trust recently held their annual cancer awareness campaign to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness month. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer.

The trust’s chief executive officer, Candace Davidson said Breast Cancer Awareness Month is important because there is a great need to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of breast cancer through education on the symptoms and treatment.  “Nearly all of us know a mother, sister or friend who has been touched by this disease and this campaign can be a time to reflect, give back, or even celebrate. For this campaign, our team dressed in pink to show our support and solidarity for all those who have been affected by breast cancer. We celebrate the strength, value and beauty of women in bringing awareness to this disease,” she said.
