Valentine’s Day falls on Saturday this year, and for the Little Butterflies Pre-Primary Edu-Care, the day of love carries an extra-special meaning. The school is celebrating a rare and heart-warming milestone, with seven sets of twins currently enrolled there. Seven pairs, equalling 14 children, perfectly matching Valentine’s Day and symbolising love 14 times over.

This special coincidence has brought joy to the families of the twins, and to the Little Butterflies school, who share in the unique bond and happiness the twins bring to its environment.

Principals Hafiza and Saifia Mirza, a mother-and-daughter team, said that this was a first in the school’s history. “It is incredible to have so many sets of twins as part of our school family. It truly fills our hearts with joy,” they said.

Adding to the significance, all seven sets of twins were born and raised during the Covid-19 period, making this celebration of love, resilience and togetherness even more meaningful for their families and the school community.

The Ladysmith Herald wishes everyone a happy Valentine’s Day, reminding readers that the occasion is not only about romance and couples, but also about love in all its forms: Family, friendship, community and togetherness.
