Amawele Emergency Services responded to an incident in which a 13-year-old girl was found unresponsive on a bedroom floor at a home in Graceland Avenue, near Savannah Park, Chatsworth.
According to Amawele Emergency Services, paramedics arrived at the scene within minutes. The girl was assessed and declared dead.
The circumstances surrounding her death have not yet been confirmed, although suicide is suspected. Chatsworth SAPS members were among those present at the scene, and an official statement is still awaited.
