The clinic provides care in four streams: Antenatal care, acute care for the treatment of minor ailments and holistic primary health care, chronic care for the treatment of HIV, hypertension, diabetes, epilepsy and TB and finally Integration and management of childhood illness that includes well baby clinic and immunization. The clinic also offers cervical screening, medical male circumcision, HIV testing, TB screening and diabetes screening.

Ward 31 counciller, Chris Pappas who attended the open day said: “The Clinic Committee has done a wonderful job in advertising and growing awesomeness about the clinic. We must take ownership of our community assets and build a strong ethos of community involvement.

We must also thank the staff and officials at the clinic for all that they do.

There is always room to improve but given the difficult circumstances many departments face, the Sydenham team is doing a good job.”

The clinic is open from Monday to Friday at 7:30am – 4pm.
