An alleged drunk driver is reported to have lost control of his vehicle and crashed through two boundary walls on Stonebridge Drive on Saturday, leaving one person with injuries.

KZN VIP medical and response units were quickly on scene and spokesman, Gareth Naidoo, said, “A passenger from the vehicle was injured and stabilised on scene by KZN VIP medics before being transported to hospital. “Fortunately, there are many commuters who use that area near the tuck-shop to wait for their transport and there had been no one in the vicinity during the time of the accident.”

“We urge motorists to refrain from driving under the influence of alcohol as the risk and danger to innocent people as well as the driver himself and passengers in the vehicle is hazardous,” said Naidoo.
