Chaos reigns outside the Verulam Magistrate’s Court as hundreds of protestors have gathered in a show of support for two cases; the Donovan Naicker murder case and an alleged Waterloo rape case, being heard today.

The amped protestors are out in full force hoisting placards as their chants for #Justice fills the air.

According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), the Verulam residents gathered in protest against the release of a man in custody for the murder and rape of a seven-year-old child in Waterloo on Saturday.

It is alleged that the Indian male suspect was arrested after he raped the girl and stabbed her through the heart. He then reportedly tossed her body out of a window.

Residents in the area divulged that the suspect lived in the area for a few months with his girlfriend. The home rented by the suspect, belonged to his girlfriend’s parents, however, the information could not be confirmed.
