
Kearsney College won bronze at the 2022 Northwood Stayers Tournament recently after a closely fought competition between the Durban North schools and the Outer West Durban schools.
The final was won by Clifton School, who beat Westville Boys’ High School on penalties, in the gold medal match, while the bronze medal was won by Kearsney against hosts, Northwood. Kearsney College marketing manager, Rob Carpenter congratulated the team for their performance. “Good luck to the players that have been selected for the KZN waterpolo teams 2022 Inter-Provincial Championship,” she said.
KwaZulu-Natal will host the tournament across 12 different schools, with Kearsney hosting the U16 boys’ section. The event will take place on 10 to 14 December. “Congratulations to David Pohl and James Francke U17, Blake Kruger, Elite Hadebe and Ryan Sim U16, James Pohl and Luca Sandri U15, Oliver Ludwig, Thomas Francke, Thomas Aylward and Levi Thom U14. A huge congratulations to Pierre Le Roux for being selected as KZN U16 boys’ coach and Bradley Savage-Reid who has been selected as KZN U16 boys manager,” said Carpenter.
