Students from the Association of Funakoshi Shotokan Karate South Africa recently competed in the Karate eThekwini Region and Karate KwaZulu Natal Elite Tournament.

Kyoshi Selvan Govender (7th Dan), president and chief instructor of the association said he was proud of his students performance at both these tournaments. “The success achieved by these students is attributed to their consistent training and dedication to karate,” said Kyoshi Govender.

Students from this association have received their Karate KwaZulu Natal provincial colours and will be competing in Karate South Africa’s All Styles National Tournament which will be held in Cape Town on 16 and 17 March.
