The Central Durban Golf Club will host its 40th Memorial Open on Sunday, 25 November sponsored by Discount Build at the prestigious Durban Country Club.

The tournament attracts over 120 players in all divisions. This Tournament was formerly known as the Papwa Memorial in honour of the late Papwa Sewgolum. Today this tournament pays tribute to all golfers who have excelled in the past despite the difficult circumstances that existed at that time. The Memorial Open draws golfers from around the country and is one of the most prestigious amateur tournaments in KZN.

Competition is expected to be tense in all divisions and the club has ensured that all those who excel on that day will be duly rewarded. At a cost of R600.00 per player, participants will receive a high quality shirt, goodie bag, a sumptuous dinner and prize giving. Excellent prizes are offered in all divisions. The overall winner will also receive the coveted “ Papwa Puttter.”
