Five suspects have been confirmed dead, two civilians shot and two injured following an attempted Cash-in-Transit (CIT) robbery in Springfield Park and a gun-battle between police and robbers that ended in Parlock, a short while ago. Police acted swiftly.

According to reports, both areas have been cordoned off as they are active scenes and all relevant police personnel are on site.

Rescue Care’s Garrith Jamieson said, “Four civilians have been treated off Parlock Drive where a vehicle crashed and a gunfight broken out between SAPS and suspects. Two seriously injured civilians were shot and two minor injuries.”

Police investigations are underway.
