Police members in Phoenix continued with their clean-up to help eradicate the scourge of drugs in the area.

Phoenix SAPS communications officer, Cpt L Naidoo, said, “More than 420 heroin capsules were confiscated together with 15 arrests in the Phoenix area. Seven of those arrests were made in the Rucklen, Barnyard area.

The members are encouraged to continue with the clean-up of the streets of Phoenix. The community is requested to assist police with information they may have regarding drugs in the area. We are striving for a drug-free Phoenix and we need to join forces to make headway in order to achieve this goal.

“We commend police on their concerted efforts and community members are urged to keep their ears to the ground and their eyes opened to illicit drug dealing which must be reported to the police immediately so swift action can be taken against the guilty parties,” said Phoenix CPF chairman, Umesh Singh.
