There’s a new spot for PERi-PERi lovers on the North Coast, with Nando’s officially opening its doors at Reefside Mall in Sibaya Coastal City on Thursday, 1 October The store adds another popular name to the growing retail and dining offering at Reefside Mall, giving shoppers and visitors a new destination to enjoy Nando’s signature flame-grilled chicken and famous PERi-PERi flavours.
The opening brought a lively atmosphere to the mall as customers made their way into the restaurant, eager to experience one of the latest additions to Reefside Mall’s growing food and dining offering. Guests were welcomed by friendly and enthusiastic staff, ready to serve up familiar favourites ranging from flame-grilled chicken and burgers to wraps, sides and the different levels of PERi-PERi heat that have made Nando’s a household name.
Raveen Harisunker, Nando’s KZN area manager, said the spacious new restaurant can accommodate more than 100 guests and offers customers an enhanced dining experience. “Our store accommodates over 100 guests for our dining experience and we have a beautiful offering in terms of our menu. We have soft serve, bottomless ice cream and bottomless sodas on offer. We are looking forward to seeing customers patronise our beautiful store, which has relocated from Sibaya Casino,” said Harisunker.
Nando’s KZN and eSwatini market manager Sandile Gcabashe said the decision to relocate from Sibaya Casino was aimed at making the restaurant more accessible to a wider range of customers.
“Our new store at Sibaya Reefside was formerly located at Sibaya Casino. We realised that some of our customers weren’t accessing our store inside Sibaya, and when the new mall was being built, we decided to create something here that would be more accessible to all our customers,” said Gcabashe.
He added that the restaurant has also expanded its offering to give customers more variety and a fuller dining experience. “We’ve added a few things to the menu to ensure that our customers enjoy as much variety as possible, from starters and mains to dessert. We have bottomless soft serve, bottomless drinks and bottomless iced tea,” he said. Gcabashe encouraged North Coast residents and visitors to experience the new restaurant for themselves, describing it as a unique addition to Nando’s offering in the province.
“Please come through and support us and experience this new style of store. There are other similar stores, but there’s nothing quite like this one in KZN at the moment. We want people to visit, experience the store and taste exactly what we are serving,” he said.
While Nando’s famous flame-grilled chicken may be the reason customers walk through the doors, the striking new restaurant itself is certainly giving them something else to talk about.
