A Glenmore woman was stabbed to death in the early hours of Sunday, 2 June, when a suspect gained entry into her home.
Two of her relatives were also stabbed and are currently in critical condition in hospital. Garrith Jamieson of ALS Paramedics confirmed the incident and said that paramedics were called to the scene just after 3.30am.

He said: “Paramedics arrived to find a horrific scene. A family had been attacked inside their house and paramedics found three patients with multiple stab wounds. Immediately, more ambulances and Advanced Life Support paramedics were dispatched to assist.”
Jamieson said that a female believed to be in her 40s had sustained multiple fatal stab wounds to her body.
He said: “There was nothing paramedics could do for her and she was declared deceased on the scene. Two men, believed to be father and son, had multiple stab wounds to their bodies.”
Jamieson said that both were in critical condition and required multiple advanced life support techniques to stabilise them on the scene. “They were rushed to hospital for urgent care. At this stage, the events leading up to the attack are unknown. However, SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further,” he added.
A family friend alleged that the attack was racial as the supect is believed to be a Zionist.
“According a family member, the suspect came into the house and threatened the daughter and said he will do what the Israelites are doing to the Palestinians. He the threatened the daughter to take of her trouser and that was when the mother jumped in and he stabbed her multiple times before stabbing the father and son,” the friend explained.
He said the suspect has been arrested and will be appearing at the Durban Magistrates Court tomorrow, Tuesday, 4 May.
