A pedestrian was tragically killed when he was rammed and pinned against a tree by a motorist who allegedly lost control of a vehicle on Nelson Mandela Drive in Port Shepstone, on Monday.
Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the collision and spokesperson, Craig Botha, said: “When emergency services arrived they found that a car had lost control and had crashed into pedestrians and then into a tree.
Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that two patients in the car had sustained minor injuries and one pedestrian also sustained minor injuries.
“The second pedestrian sustained fatal injuries when the pedestrian was crushed between the car and tree. Sadly, the pedestrian succumbed to the injuries before emergency services arrived on scene. The patients were treated on scene before being transported to hospital for further treatment.”
