
A male driver was left with serious injuries after losing control of his vehicle on the M7, near Hans Dettman on Saturday, 14 August.
Emer-G-Med paramedics spokesperson, Kyle van Reenan said upon arrival at the scene paramedics found a Nissan Navara had careened across the centre median, overturning and coming to a rest facing oncoming traffic. “The driver was ejected in the mechanism of the crash and was found lying in the roadway having suffered serious injuries. Advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilise him, before he was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital,” van Reenan said.
He added that a male passenger, also suffered moderate injuries and was treated and transported by a private ambulance service to hospital. The cause of the accident is not known at this stage. Police are investigating further.
