Glenashely Preparatory School launched their new state of the art library, IT centre, and a coffee shop last Friday at a glitzy event attended by parents, learners and stakeholders.
The three additions to the school was a two year process that proved worth the wait, according to public relation manager Tracy Trotter.
She said that the IT centre has brand new computers that will contribute in the school’s computer lessons and advance the learners computer skills. “Previously the school had a small traditional library, this used to be one of the challenges for the school because of shortage of books and information tools to the learners,” she said.
Trotter said the new library has the latest books that will help with the process of education in the school and will also assist the educators with their educational programmes.
“The new library has the state of the art resources that will assist our learners. With the big venue like this we can host many events in this library like the book fair that is currently taking place this week. We believe that these new facilities will help us to perform well and increase the school’s pass rate,” said Trotter.
She said as the school they always try to improve the lives of their learners and they are always open to interact with the parents so that they can work together in bettering the lives of the leaners. “We are a small school so we make it our priority to pay special attention to every child,” she added.
