Golf, bowls, music and great company created the perfect atmosphere at the Port Shepstone Country Club during the Annual Restoration Trophy event.
The event commemorates the devastation of the floods that the South Coast experienced in 1959, and the severe impact it had on the club.
It was games, activities and competitions galore. The golf competition winners were Ryan Ringo, Paul Tedder, Daryl D’Arcy and Grant Petersen.
“Our club truly celebrated a great restoration event this weekend and not only were we supported by our loyal club members, but we were also supported by more than 40 golf visitors as well,” said Sandy Danckwerts, the club’s advertising, media and marketing co-ordinator.
“Port Shepstone Country Club would like to thank all the sponsors who supported this annual event over the weekend and to those who assisted with sponsorship and great prizes. Without your support and help this event would not have been able to take place.
“Also many thanks to those behind the scenes that did so much to help with putting this event together as well to the Jones family for being a part of our event, and our club for so long and supporting us through our many fundraisers.
“A last big thank you to the ‘Tequila Twins’ as well for their great music on Sunday too,” said a very grateful Danckwerts.
