As filming begins for the new reality mixed martial arts TV show “TF1 — The Fighter” fans will already have their sights on the Demarte “The Wolf” Pena v Irshaad “White Tiger” Sayed 2 bout in a highly anticipated finale on 16 December. Sayed, from South Africa, is the “interim” bantamweight title holder, fighting out of the Evolve MMA gym in Singapore. The Angolan Pena fights out from Sunninghill in Johannesburg.
Meanwhile, EFC Worldwide has announced that ahead of the Pena-Sayed unification bout, an equally important battle has been scheduled for EFC 66. South Africa’s Gareth Buirski and France’s Phillipe ‘Le Terrible’ Rouch will clash with the number one bantamweight contendership at stake, in a main card opening.
Buirski and Rouch, hailing from France, will come face to face at the Sun Arena at Time Square, Pretoria for the number one contender spot.
