Investigations surrounding the death of a Redhill man are underway after he was found dead in a Pinetown hotel room yesterday.
According to Reaction Unit SA, the Redhill man, identified as 38-year-old Sanjay Dukhi was reported missing by his family last Monday.
“The Redhill resident was believed to have boarded a taxi on the day he went missing. He was to meet a friend on West Street in Durban Central, however he failed to arrive at the meeting point. His family, the South African Police and members of Reaction Unit South Africa conducted an extensive search for him. His family was informed that he was found deceased after the discovery was made,” said Reaction’s Prem Balram.
“Circumstances surrounding Sanjay’s death are subject to investigation,” added Balram.
Close friends of Dukhi offered messages of condolences to the family on Facebook.
Wayne Ross posted, “It’s really sad to hear news like this. My deepest condolences to the family. May you all find strength and courage throughout this difficult time. Sanjay will be missed by all team members from the B-Shift. RIP my brother.”
“Death is something hard to accept, and can one only imagine how devastating to deal with tragic circumstances. God have mercy on those that have no respect for life. May the family be comforted during this time of bereavement,” said Lorraine Mewalal.
