With less than 24 hours to the Easter Weekend, a Somali Foreign National driving a 1400 bakkie died in a head-on collision with a taxi.
The taxi was full of passengers and was travelling to Madadeni from Newcastle, last Friday.
The 35-year old bakkie driver sustained head injuries, multiple open wounds, multiple lacerations and a spinal injury.
He was rushed to Madadeni Regional Hospital. Police at the scene said a case of culpable homicide was opened and they will be investigating further.
