Durban’s Yusuf “Bloodhound” Hassan makes his appearance at EFC 64 on 7 October at Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom. He takes on Angola’s Josemar ‘Black Ninja’ Octavio in the Extreme Fighting Championship’s opening bout on the five fight main card.
Hassan (33), is poised to make his mark on home ground, the birthplace of African Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Fighting out of the GBH gym, the grappler in the flyweight division would want to repeat history after he beat Jesse Flemming in June on TKO. His disciplines include jiu jitsu and kickboxing.
Octavio, 24, fights out of Team Elite in Luanda, Angola, and lives up to his alias of “Black Ninja” with accurate and powerful Muay Thai skills. At his last showing, after a barrage of strikes he submitted Radley De Vries in an arm bar in round one. Octavio wants to put his stamp on the flyweight division, at the same time putting his name forward as a serious contender. He will be after another quick finish to accomplish that goal.
