A burnt body believed to be that of a Durban North missing woman Siam Lee (20) has been positively identified by her mother. The body was discovered in a sequestered cane field by a farmer on Saturday.
The body was found in New Hanover in the Midlands and the police have launched an inquest into this gruesome discovery.
Lee went missing on 4 January and since her disappearance an appeal was made to anyone with information of her whereabouts.
It is believed that she was abducted by a man who was allegedly stalking her.
On Wednesday, the Durban North Police issued an appeal to the members of the community to assist in locating the man who is believed to be behind the abduction.
According to the police, the man allegedly left with Lee in a black Mercedes Benz Vito/ V-class with unknown GP registration numbers on the day of her disappearance on Margaret Maytom Avenue.
The police seek assistance in locating the man in the identikit that was released by the investigators.
