Fatima-Zahra Osman Joosab from Al Falaah College matriculated with 8 distinctions. The bright learner took Arabic as an extra subject in addition to Biology, Physics and Accounting as her chosen subjects.

“The main thing is to be consistent,” said Fatima-Zahra who credited her success
to diligent study, good educators and her family and friends who supported her.
Fatima-Zahra has been accepted to study medicine at UKZN’s Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine this year and plans to specialise in neurology. “From the time that I was small, it’s been my dream to study medicine, it has always fascinated me,” said Fatima-Zahra.

Proud father, Yusaf Osman Joosab highlighted the dedication and commitment of the educators and a good home support from siblings and parents. Fatima-Zahra said that she remembered her brother who had recently passed away, saying that both her siblings had been a big help to her during her schooling.
